If you have never been to an Island's Restaurant, I suggest you go!
The burgers are good, but the appetizer cheese fries are ABSOLUTELY delicious! If you are vegetarian you may enjoy the California Roll which was taken off the menu, but can still be ordered. It is 3 soft tacos with Avocado, Cheese, Snap Peas, Lettuce, and tomatoes. YUM!
The prices are pretty good, the atmosphere is really great! It is decorated Islands themed with videos of xtreme sports playing and great photos of surfers, etc. It is a great place for families, friends and dates too, though it is definitely casual.
This Islands in particular has always given me VERY friendly service. The waiters are always nice and helpful! I love that it is about 5 minutes from the beach. My boyfriend and I love to order the cheese fries to go, and then head over w/ a blanket to the Carlsbad Beach.

Parking can be a problem, but if the car wash behind it is closed, you can sometimes find parking there.
