Review content:
Castilleja is a strong environment for the development of young women, providing academic, athletic, artistic, and social development without the distraction of boys on campus. With only 60 students per grade, and class sizes of 15 students, it is generally a very close-knit and supportive community. Academics are rigorous, but could be tied together better across related subjects. Athletic facilities are limited but are about to undergo a major captial improvement. One highlight is the commitment to community service - the girls are really taught not only to be aware but to get involved and make a difference, developing a great sense of empowerment.
PROS: Excellent, well-rounded development environment
CONS: Expensive tuition
