I was sixty-one and had begun to experience enough tooth shifting and turning that it was really starting to affect the way I felt about my appearance/smile. I couldn't imagine going through the ordeal of traditional braces at my age but didn't want to become one of those snaggle-toothed old people. I was evaluated by Dr. Hobbs and fitted for Invisalign tooth straightening. During the first 24 hours of wearing them, I really wasn't sure if I could cope with the discomfort of having something covering my upper and lower test, but by the end of days two my initial apprehension went away. It didn't take long to forget I had anything in my mouth at all. I followed wearing instructions to the letter, and by doing so, my treatment time was reduced by six months. I couldn't be happier with the results and believe it was worth every penny. An added bonus to not being able to snack throughout the day--I lost fifteen pounds.
