Review content:
We recently (Aug 20-22) had a very scary experience with our cat LeRoy and the doctor's and staff at Emerald City Vet helped us out tremendously. LeRoy woke up Saturday morning blind and with loss of functionality in his legs. We immediately took him to Emerald City Emergency Clinic (closest place to our house) and as soon as we got there the staff took him back for an examination. Shortly after taking him back the doctor came to meet with us and explained exactly what was going on (blood clots/cardiomyopathy). She was honest and comforting at the same time as she could tell we were very concerned. After determining the necessary care procedure they showed us where LeRoy would be staying and encouraged us to call as often as we wanted to check in while he was staying. Every time we called we received detailed status updated. Saturday night we called and asked if we could come and visit LeRoy and bring him something that smelled like home to comfort him. The staff encouraged us to do so and let us go back and spend a few minutes visiting. We met with three doctors during LeRoy's 48 hours (the doctor at check-in and check-out, a night-time doctor, and a different doctor at his 24 hour mark), all were great help. We were extremely happy to take LeRoy home Monday morning. I would have no concern taking any animal to this emergency clinic and really appreciated all of their help during our nightmare.
