Review content:
I took the Teen Course at the Mercer Island Location with Michelle as my instructor. The knowledge class itself was good, I passed every written test. However, I took 5 out of my 7 driving lessons with Michelle, the last one ending in tears. She is extremely unprofessional and makes things very personal. I talked to some of my friends who also had Michelle as an instructor, and apparently she is very mean to some students and very nice to others. One of my friends even told me that Michelle told her that she should find a different instructor because "their personalities don't mesh well". We're barely talking to each other during the drives, and I don't think you have to like someone to teach them how to drive and be professional about it. She would literally yell at me for making mistakes, and then not explain how to correct them. She even hit me in the face once from reaching over and cranking the wheel so hard because I was having trouble straightening out (while we were parked), instead of explaining to me what I was doing wrong. The other 2 drives I had were with Matt and James, and they were fine, but Michelle is very abusive if you're not one of her "favorite" students.
