Review content:
The Sunset Tavern has a great vibe, and now that they have liquor service there is less excuse to see a show there. But it suffers from the common problem of clubs of this scale - very bad sight lines to the "stage". Low ceilings and poles in the way mean you won't really get to see the performing act unless you are pretty much right up front or at the bar - the seating and booths in the back won't work.
Never had the "food" either. But the staff and decor are nice, and they get an eclectic mix of indie rock and twangy stuff, kind of like a smaller, rougher cousin of the Tractor Tavern down the block.
