I inherited a Kinetico water softener with my house when I bought it 13 years ago. Unlike the cheap Sears or Lowe's units friends of mine had, this unit was great: Trouble free, just fed it some salt a couple of times a year. And the water was as soft as it could get. The last year or so I noticed that occasionally I would get a shot of salty water out of the tap after regeneration. It went away fairly quickly, but it was an inconvenience. I finally decided to do something about it. I found Martin Water online, and had no prior experience with them. I scheduled an appointment. They said the tech would arrive between 8 and 10 am. Given that I live way out in the country, I expected from past experience with other service types that this probably meant a 10:30 arrival, if I was lucky. At 7:40 am I received a call from Brendon, who was on his way, inquiring if it was OK if he showed up at 8:10. Wow. He arrived as promised, and was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He asked if I would like to watch him disassemble the head unit, which was great because I always value the opportunity to go to school and learn something about these kind of things (Some service techs don't like the owner hanging around while they work). Turns out, some seals and valves were worn (no surprise after 15 years) and of course Brendan had all the parts with him. This guy was terrific, as was my first experience with Martin Water.
