Review content:
Generally I hold this shop in high regard but this time was not very good reminding me to keep my guard up even when comfortable with a shop. This time I took my truck in for a problem with the carbruator. They took longer than I hoped to diagnose the problem which put me back a day. I did need my truck on the weekend and when I called on Thursday they thought they could have it back to me same day. Unfortunately it took till Friday afternoon for them to tell me I needed a complete overhaul. I had told them I suspected it was only needing an adjustment when I took it in so the $1,200 estimate was surprising. I asked if there were any options and was given a option to finance the repair. I decided to pick up the truck and not have the work done. It was just too high a cost for an old truck. I was not upset but I did have to rent a U-Haul over the weekend since my truck was still at their shop parking lot. When I picked it up it would no longer start as it had when I brought it to them. I had to have it towed. When I got a minute, I found there was some debris in the carb preventing the float from dropping. I removed the debris and the truck ran fine again. I am glad they did not get me for $1.200. They did charge me $149 for diagnosis but I guess they must not have looked at the carb.
