When I first moved to Atlanta, I needed to find an eye doctor. I started seeing Dr. Horac. I went to him for a few years. The last time I went, he tried putting me in a contact lenses that would have ended up costing me $600 a year. I told Dr. Horac he was out of his mind. Mind you, I've been in contacts or glasses since I was 13 months old with VERY HIGH farsightedness. Finally after some back and forth, I just let him have it. I felt he was always trying to overcharge me for stuff and abuse me as a customer. Well, I just went to a new eye doctor. Dr. Herold at Framed in Glenwood Park. After visiting Dr. Herold and expressing my concern initially with trying to put me in the most expensive lens possible, I now know Dr. Horac was definitely abusing his patients. Nor do I feel like Dr. Horac has a clue as to what he is doing as an optometrist. Dr. Herold ordered me 2 trial lenses. (1) a daily lens and (2) a toric lens to correct my astigmatism. Dr. Herold has corrected my vision to 20/20 with the toric lens. I see way better than I have in years. The only toric lens Dr. Horac ever TRIED to put me in was a lens that would cost me $600 a year. The toric lens Dr. Herold at Framed in Glenwood Park is a monthly throw-away which will cost me $160/year. DO NOT go to Dr. Horac. He over charges and is not a good optometrist. I've been in the wrong lenses for years thanks to Dr. Horac. From my research on this businesses reviews, I'm not the only patient that felt overcharged. You take advantage of your patients. You never gave me price points and options. As an optometrist patient since the age of 13 months and I'm now 38, I've NEVER had anyone try to abuse me the way you did. After going to a professional who cares about what is important to their patient, I feel others need to know the truth.
