When my dogs were patients at this place, the Director was Dr. Rick Lungo. Dr. Mark Fosberg may have been second-in-command but I'm not certain of that. Rick Lungo and Mark Fosberg appear to be gone now; but many of the veterinarians who worked there, at that time, might still be there. I had very bad experiences with the majority of them, including Drs. Lungo and Fosberg. In my opinion, these veterinarians are horrible. I recently moved away from Spokane, Washington, to another state. However, while I lived in Spokane, I foolishly went to these vets for a couple of years. They seem to be only in it for the money. They see way too many animals, more than they can handle. They also try to push you into unnecessary procedures and surgeries. Every time that I boarded my dogs there, my dogs were extremely thirsty and absolutely desperate to go to the bathroom, when I picked them up. My one dog urgently needed surgery. I wanted to make payments; but these vets insisted that I come up with the huge surgery fees (in one lump sum), before they would do the surgery. When I said that it would take many months for me to save up the lump sum, they did not change their minds. I found another vet, who did the surgery for one-half the price and who allowed me to make monthly payments. I took my dogs to North Division Animal Medical Center's groomers. Their groomer called me and said that one of my dogs needed to be given a tranquilizer, because he was refusing to allow them to finish grooming him. When I arrived at their place of business, my poor dog was in agony and was covered all over his body with razor burns! I took my dog home; but then, I went back to the animal medical center, to complain. I did bring my dog back with me and had one of their vets examine him. When I complained to another of the North Division Animal Medical Center's veterinarians about their groomer injuring my dog, he said that my dog had been ""just fine"" (when my dog left their property) and that I must have GIVEN my dog the razor burns, when I arrived back home! Both of my dogs had surgery that was done by these vets. Each dog was given insufficient pain medicine and was in horrible pain. When I asked veterinarian Rick Lungo for more pain medication, he said that my dogs were NOT in pain and that they were just ""talking"" and ""making a bid for attention."" He refused to give my dogs any extra pain medication. I had another surgery done by one of their veterinarians, because that vet misdiagnosed my dog and said that the surgery needed to be done as soon as possible. After the expensive (and painful) surgery was done, I found out that my dog never even needed the surgery! These vets made me pay FULL PRICE for the unnecessary surgery! Some friends of mine, who were their clients, were fired (and told to find another vet) for complaining too much and ""for asking too many questions""! My friends were told that the vets were ""TOO BUSY"" to answer questions or complaints about the veterinary care of their dogs. On another occasion, their vets tried to talk me into doing a completely unnecessary, elective surgery on one of my dogs. This time, I was smart enough to refuse. These vets overcharge and ""nickle-and-dime"" you to death. I finally wised up and found some wonderful vets, who took great care of my dogs and charged reasonable prices. These (Spokane-area) North Division Animal Medical Center veterinarians are beyond terrible! If you want to be greatly over-charged for neglect, cruelty, indifference, greed and incompetence, be sure to use this animal medical center!
