Ms. Demitro is very pleasant and has a very professional demeanor, but her lack of diligence in addressing my needs as a client caused me to abandon both my homeowner and auto insurance policies with Farmers. \r \r First, she failed to notify me when my homeowner insurance policy was being cancelled. After I informed her that my policy had been cancelled, her effort to restore my coverage was, at best, feeble. The combination of Farmers' unsavory practices and her lack of responsiveness caused me to remain without homeowner insurance for nearly 3 months.\r \r I believe that Farmers Insurance cancelled my policy because of institutionalized discriminatory practices against homeowners who live in regions that the company does not prefer to cover. I have never filed a claim and I was a first-time homebuyer when I chose to bundle my preexisting auto policy with a new homeowner policy.
