Review content:
I currently work at a veterinary er. On new years day my friend called me saying his dog was convulsing. He asked if I could come look at his dog with him. He was not home that night or day with his dog and just got the call at 3pm from a roommate. Right away when I saw his 2 year old lab I told him that he needed to bring him in. The dog was tremoring and could not even stand up. My friend told me how he was tight on money. So instead of bring him to the wonderful place I work, that costs a good amount of money, I decided to try Diamond vet in hopes they would have a payment plan (which they do not). We got into the car and took his dog straight there. When we arrived there was no receptionist up front, we had to wait for a younger girl with pink hair to come up front and she then put us in a room. When the dog should have clearly seen a doctor. The tech or assistant came in and I told her right away that his gums were pale, and his heart rate was elevated. She then said she had to go get a thermometer (because there was not one in the room or in her hand). After she got the temperature she left and the receptionist came back in and was talking to us about money and go figure, the dog has a seizure. I yell for a doctor and one of the techs comes in and stands there in awe as im holding the seizing dog. She finally starts to take him and yells at us, ""Now don't lie, what could he have gotten into!!"" When we arrived we stated that he had gotten into the trash last night and we were unsure of anything else. Needless to say, they were unprofessional, not prepared for an emergency (even though they are an emergency clinic) and very inexperienced. They should have taken the dog to be evaluated by the doctor first thing. I would never recommend taking any pets there. They did cost less than other clinics but you get what you pay for there. Cheap bill and even cheaper service.
