Review content:
Ace Aluminum's installation of the wrong soffit material on my home and their failure to create a continuous opening in the existing plywood soffit resulted in blockage of most of my preexisting soffit ventilation. Now in the wintertime I am plagued with condensation and frost formation in my attic. Summertime will cause uncomfortable heat on the upper floor and premature deterioration of roofing shingles. To correct the problem will cost even more than the initial project as the wrong material will have to be removed and disposed. I am also burdened with hiring a structural engineer to inspect and prepare reports to recover my costs associated with this project.
In sum, Ace Aluminum's vinyl soffit installation project on my home resulted in reduction of my attic ventilation by 93%. The preexisting soffit ventilation area was reduced from 1180 sq. inches down to 82 sq. inches. Ace Aluminum denies the existence of any fault on their part and refuses to correct the problem.
