Review content:
We have been at EPC for 8 months. Our daughter is in the preschool room and will now be moving up to the 4 year old room. So far it has been worth every penny. This is our third daycare so we have been around. Although we have not been in the infant room we will be trying it out next winter :). Here is a summary:
They provide food and snacks. My daughter is very picky but she is now eating better and I think it is becaus all the kids eat the same thing (protein/fruit/veggie). Working full-time this one less thing I need worry about. My daughter some times gets their right when they open so they give her breakfast which is really nice.
They are open and no delays when it snows and only closed during major holidays. It was always a fire drill at our old daycare when it snowed. My husband and I don't get snow days and WFH is really not an option. This lets us use our vacation days for family days.
There is very little turnover. She has had the same teacherss the whole time we have been there. Either both or one is always there when I pick her up every day. So if I have any concerns or questions they can tell me when I see them. My daughter always hugs her teachers good bye every day. Which is somthing she never did at the old daycares.
They offer extra class like computers, karate, swimming, and piano. They even take the kids to swimming which is awesome. Also they do field trips in the summer and during the year. I usually send the grandparent to help chaparone. My daugher loves it when they go some place new with nanny or grandma.
Education. She has learned a lof from them. She is now spelling her last name and knows spanish and english words including days of the week and months of the year. The room is filled with letters/drawings/words that the kids said. I don't know how the teachers do it. It is not an easy job. They also offer yoga and music and other activities which are included in the price. They take the kids outside twice day and the teachers always seems to have it together.
So far so good! I guess only one slight negative is that they don't get involved in religious holidays. So they don't recognize Christmas or sing carols. I think they should consider recogizing the different religions. I would have no problem if she came home with a dreidel/Christmas tree or anything else. As it is important for the kids to learn about differnt beliefs even if it is not their belief so they can grow up to be accepting of others.
