This is honestly the worst experience I have ever had moving. I was moving from NYC to Chicago, and had flight to catch to leave the city a few days after I was 'supposed' to move. All state kept pushing my move date back and back when I already had a date confirmed! They provided no explanation, never called to explain, no follow up. I had to constantly hound them on the phone asking them where the movers were?!?! They ended up pushing my move date to the day I was supposed to fly out of the city. I thought I was going to miss my flight because I had to remain in my apartment to let them in and get my belongings. I ended up purchasing full coverage insurance because with how terrible the service was to pickup my things, I figured they would be careless in moving them. Go figure it took a full 2 weeks for them to actually deliver my items. The very last date of the "shipping window". Of course my very well packed mirrored nightstand ended up arriving damaged. I had to file a claim and they say it'll take 4-6 weeks for everything to go through. WRONG! 8 months later they give me a check for $30. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My WestElm $275 nightstand that is going to get $30 back refunded. I paid $750 for full coverage insurance. I called the claims department and told them I had full coverage, and I wanted a full refund. Why would I pay and extra $750 for nothing?!?!? They told me they had NO record of my insurance. Once I got home to my apartment, I found my customer copy(specifically noted customer copy on the paper, so I know ALLState has the other copy) Can't wait to call them back and thank them for trying to ROB me. The most ridiculous, lying, cheating company and I hope no one ever has to go through this. Luckily, I keep all receipts so I have proof of this, but I worry 8 months later not everyone would have the same. SAVE ALL PAPERWORK or get screwed. I hope this scathing review helps people to pick literally any other moving company.
