American Five Star Transmission is the best! They know their stuff and they have great employees that really care about their customers!
I have been getting my car fixed by them since I first started driving and a female and a student they did not try to get the most money out of me. They help me understand my car by telling me the best ways to take care of it and offer discounts with their coupons online and through the ASU coupon book to help save money too.
They do a great job on my car. When I take it in I know they are gona take care of it. It is a really old car with a lot of problems but my car is always working without constant trips to the shop.
I have many great stories about this place and their service, but the best one dear to my heart is when I was first pulled over by a cop. I was on my way to the repair shop to get my car checked before going to Emissions to renew my tags. Well, this was my first car ever so I did not know I had to replace my tags when they expired. All I knew is I had a letter from the state asking me to see my mechanic and then go to admissions. Lol. So I was pulled over right in front of the shop as I turned in. I was scared and embarrassed. The cop finally gave me a warning left. When I went into the shop they guys were nice. They asked me if I was okay and I told them my situation. They said no worries. It happened to them before too. They gave me advice to how to get a temp plate till my car was ready for emissions and got my car ready for my emissions test. I passed it and was thankful for helping understand this process that I know realize I have to do every year. Thanks guys!
For anyone debating on a great place with a great price this is it! The work is top notch!
PS. The food next door is good too! It's great to wait there and get some real NYC food! They are true New Yorkers that know their food :)
