Alright before I start this review on Douglas Volkswagen dealership in Summit, NJ. I have to say I've been to about 6 dealerships in the last 6 months trying to get approved for the car I wanted. I'm 22, not much credit established..couldn't really do much on my own. Which was a 5th Gen Camaro. I was turned down by every dealership I went to. Then I stumbled over Douglas Volkswagen while searching on Cars.com. The process was like I expected, give my information and wait for something to come back, at least that's the way the other dealerships did me. With Douglas, I sat down with a special finance professional, Dave, who has bent over backwards to get me the car of my dreams and the color and model I wanted. He walked me through the entire process. Told me why I was denied from previous dealerships, but the fact that he told me what the discrepancy was, is great. I was turned down for a reason I wasn't clear about even with a co-signer who has nearly perfect Credit score with the other guys. It was hassle getting my deposit back from the other guys. Dave, ensured that he could get me approved and the car I wanted. I He located the car and had it shipped from California, took nearly 2 weeks to come because of all the weather. But it came, and I drove off the lot with the car that same day. Nearly 2 weeks later with the car I'm grateful for all the hard work he put in to help me. My first car and it has been an All around great experience with this dealership thanks to Dave. I'm still Stoked about it!
