I first contacted Family Auto Mart regarding a blue Mustang convertible they had listed on their website on the 9th of March. The operator passed me on to Dave who told me the vehicle was sold. He then informed me that they had a silver Mustang that just came in and was priced at $8,900.00 and would be perfect. I then told him that I submitted my credit application and asked if he had received it. He said he did and that I was pre-approved. I asked him if $1000.00 down for this vehicle was acceptable, and he said that they might require a little more, but it wasn't a problem and he could work with me. I called the dealership back a few minutes later and asked for the vehicles VIN number so that I could run a carfax on it. Dave gave me the VIN number, and at that time I again asked him for the specifics of the financials of the vehicle. He again told me $8,900.00, and said he could work with the $1000.00 down.
