Yesterday's (June 3, 2014) experience with my dentist, Dr. Burns, his assistant, Roe, and my hygienist, Sharon, was good. What wasn't good was the scheduling mix-up. Three months earlier I was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 3. Last Friday I was given a telephone reminder of my 10:30 a.m. appointment. I called to clarify---not 10:30 but 11:00 a.m. No, I was told it was 10:30 and with some hygienist I had never seen. I explained that I was supposed to see both Dr. Burns and Sharon. The only way I could see both, I was told, was to see Dr. Burns at noon and then Sharon at 1:00 p.m. with a waiting-room wait of close to an hour. I didn't mind reading in the waiting room for an hour, but I really shouldn't have had to. As I made my next appointment for September, I couldn't help wondering how bollixed up that next appointment would be. Some staff training in order, perhaps? My "star rating" is lower than it would otherwise be because of the slip-ups of your non-professional staff.
