***THE APARTMENT SHOP OF HORRORS****
Wow...where to even start with my giant list of problems with the Apartment Shop. Let's see:
THE 3211 Minnehaha BUILDING IS INFESTED with COCKROACHES....THEY ARE EVERYWHERE IN THE HALLWAYS, AND ENTRY WAYS. THEY ARE ALSO IN MY APT. THE APARTMENT SHOP HAS ALREADY SPRAYED MULTIPLE TIMES BUT THAT OBVIOUSLY HASN'T WORKED. I KEEP MY APARTMENT VERY CLEAN. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM. THEY DO NOT CARE AT ALL. THEY ALSO WILL BLAST THE HEAT WHEN IT'S WARM OUT AND CHARGE $100 FOR HEAT.
the 2nd day after I moved in they sprayed for roaches, which is good that they sprayed but I was horrified that there were roaches, NOW THERE IS ANOTHER INFESTATION AND THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.
Also right after I moved in I discovered that only one of my windows opened, and several had missing screens...I moved in, in June so this was obviously a huge problem. I put in several maintenance requests over the course of a month in a half both in person at their shop, and on the phone, every time I talked to one of the staff they seemed annoyed or rude or short or clueless with me. After about 2 months I sent them a threatening letter saying that I would press a rent escrow due to them not following up on maintenance request, I mean it was summer it was hot and bugs were coming in due to missing screens. After threatening them they came and fixed them.
I have had 3 massive ceiling leaks in my bathroom and kitchen, it took maintenance months to fix both, and one time they left a giant hole in my ceiling.
