I hired a landscaper who then hired this guy to come out and do a major renovation on my back yard. He had no clue what he was doing, he built a structural retaining wall that promptly fell over and did nothing to address drainage issues that needed attention nor did he address more than half of my yard that was in the original contract. The other landscaper was a crook, never came to the job, didn't do proper design and it had to be modified on site (he always had some excuse why he couldn't come to the house when needed), and then come to find out this "crew" and him had never even met! His name is Jamie Kretsinger, JWK Landscapes.
Andrew couldn't even lay sod correctly, having not tamped the soil prior to laying the sod, then told me it was perfectly normal to have sink holes in the yard. I was pregnant at the time and nearly fell walking through my yard and my dog sprained his leg. My children and my husband fell numerous times, thankfully not getting hurt. He tore up my yard and the neighbors yard and messed up their sprinkler system, broke a water line and created a mud slide that he got a giant piece of equipment stuck in, thereby creating insane ruts in my yard. Andrews crew consisted of a few EMTs and his pregnant wife. We have photographs of them napping in our back yard!
He also didn't seem to have any intention to phone the utility companies to have them flag gas lines, etc, until I asked if he planned to do this prior to starting (he had come over with plans to begin, but held off a few days for the flags to arrive). By this time I had already paid a hefty sum to start, so I waited it out. I should have taken this sign and cut ties then.
He then threatened to take me to court, describing the whole process of going to court and then telling me that it was not his first time in claims court. I told him that didn't surprise me at all. The contract was not even with him, he was just trying to scare more money out of me. He is a thief.
