Review content:
Because North Oaks Retirement Community was within three miles from our house in Pikesville, and two of my wife's relatives had lived here, it was a logical place to start looking for our final home. It's in a good area of town and so close to everything. A comparison with three other retirement communities in Baltimore County soon elevated it in our minds. We narrowed our choices to continuing care and non-profit, safe area of town, with bus access, level surroundings for strolling, and within an active business area with stores, restaurants, public library, and a bank. North Oaks was near the top-rated in all these categories. Three Metro bus lines pass by the community, or a short walk away, that will take us to many areas of Baltimore and beyond. My wife died as we were making plans to move, so when a vacancy at North Oaks came within weeks, I continued those plans alone. I have never regretted choosing North Oaks, and my five years living here have only validated our choice.
