Review content:
I've been living in the U-District for almost four years and I've never had much use for this Safeway. It's poorly lit, for one thing, but that's just the beginning. There is almost nothing here that is cheaper than any similar product carried at Trader Joe's, just four blocks away. It's definitely cheaper than TJ's for most produce, but that's really its only redeeming quality in terms of prices. I have also gone there at 11:30 on a Friday or Saturday night and had to wait in line for upwards of ten minutes - this is the U-District, for heaven's sake! Full of students. The people aren't terribly friendly either, but I don't blame them - it doesn't seem like a great place to work.
