I looking for gym having just moved here I called to ask about a guest pass. The guy answers phone " Hello" I said " Is this Golds gym?" He says " YES"....
I tell him I just moved here and want to get a day pass and asked how much that would be " 15 bucks" he says and then hangs up... So next day I go in at 1:30 pm and ask for day pass. Guy at desk says it $20 but I don't know how to ring it up. I told him it was $15 last night. He explains that it's only 15$ if you're with another member. I told him it's not fair to have to pay more because the rude guy from night before had no idea what he was talking about and my decision to come to GOLDS GYM was based on the day pass price. He then just again 15$ if with member 20$ for day pass.. Yes I got that the first time. He said he was just a trainer because the desk staff was in the bathroom. So after about 10 Mn someone came that knew how to ring it up. The training of and operation of desk staff should be spot on since that's who you see first when you come in... It standard practice really if you think about it..... As far as the facilities go... they are very nice and well equipped but my experience on the phone and front desk showed MAJOR lack of training and management. I prefer a more professional atmosphere. And I wonder how GOLDS feels about these guys riding on their coatails... IT HAS NOT BEEN GOLDS FOR THREE YEARS!!!
