Review content:
I have shopped here for a long time..looking for treasures. However, today marks my last time to ever shop. I had a blue glass pitcher along with several other items. I had to leave the check out due to an emergency. However, I gave my friend my money and my items. Long story short. The glass pitcher was fine until the cashier rang it up, then she put it in a plastic bag without wrapping it, because her words," we
are out of newspaper." Upon handing the plastic bag to my friend, the pitcher broke in half. The cashier said, "sorry." Upon going to the service desk, they issued a store credit. I tried to reason with the manager saying it was not broken when I brought it to the register and it was not broken until the cashier handed it to my friend. She would not hear of it. And only offered a store credit as she threw the pitcher in the trash. I understand no refunds but when the breakage happens with the cashier, that is another story. While waiting for the manager, I over heard her say on the phone, she can stay there all day but she is still not getting her money back. I will never shop here again, nor will I ever donate anything at all. I just believe this is a poor way of handling this situation, especially when it happened at the check out.
