Businiess name:  Midwest Camera Repair Inc

Review content:
Took a Nikon D1X in that stopped working after inserting a 4GB CF card. Nikon doesn't say don't do but they should they should since that destroys the ability to use the camera. Midwest initially wanted $350 to fix it. When I brought it in, they looked at it and said nothing wrong with it, which anyone could see is not the case. Not sure who made that call since they take the camera and disappear to a back room or someplace and come back and give you the verdict.\r Can't say much good about the competency of the people who say they can fix cameras. Some people seem to have better luck judging from the reviews and others...well it's a crap shoot I guess. I can see where an issue may be beyond their skill set but to be unable to diagnose is unacceptable and Nikon needs to stop passing this place off as an authorized repair facility.
