If there was an option for zero stars I would have selected that. One person who works for the company will tell you one thing to either get you to move in or resign your lease and then after you sign your name on the dotted line someone else comes along and tells you the complete opposite which is not in your favor. All they care about is getting you locked into the lease. The upstairs apartments are unbearably hot in the summer. They have an ac unit that cools only the living room and you are not allowed to put an air conditioner in your bedroom window to cool it down. In the summer time it is very difficult to sleep because of this. I can hear my neighbors conversations daily and ants run ram pet in the apartment. You can go and complain but all they say is that they will spray the outside of the building. Whether they do or not I dont know but the ants continue to come until you buy 3 or 4 boxes of ant traps to help alleviate the problem but it doesn't completely take care of the problem. If you ask me ant traps should be provided at no cost to the tenant. The approximately 15 year old refrigerator that they supply runs nonstop jacking up your electric bill. The drain in the bathroom sink is slow to drain because of old pipes. There is no privacy outside as apartments are stacked right on top of each other. Overall E.F. Burke cares about one thing and one thing only...getting you locked into a lease so that they can take your money.
