I contracted to have the house trim painted in April, . After waiting a couple of months I e-mailed and called to find out when he might do it. No response. He finally showed up in July and completed the work within a few weeks. OK....no problem....it was a wet spring. When he was done he gave me a quote on installing plywood in the garage. He completed that within a week. I paid for both jobs with a credit card which he had to take home to process. Before he came back to return the card, I noticed that the braces for the gutter were never put back. Those braces are needed so the gutter won't warp from ice and snow. Also, the gas fire place had gone on automatically, on the hottest day of the year and wouldn't go off until I cut the pilot light. It seems a wire had been pinched when the garage was worked on. OK. He would return the following week and fix both the problems. (of course, he had already been paid). A few weeks went by; he did not return I emailed and called. No response. .Winter was coming so I paid to have someone else .fix the wire. OK...no problem. I needed the fireplace cleaned, anyway. Three months went by....he never returned. I wrote two unsatsifactory reviews on line. He called and said that it was always women who gave him a problem ( red flag) and then he threatened me with a law suit. I agreed to take down the reviews (not because of his threat) if he would just install the gutter braces. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to ruin his business. I would also leave a ladder that he had left behind in the summer out on the driveway to pick up. Yes...he would do the job within a week. I immediately changed the reviews. Hey, it could have been just a misunderstanding (it was not; I just wanted the braces put back so there wouldn't be any problems); and I left the ladder out for him to retrieve. Now, five months later, he has neither retrieved the ladder or installed the braces and the gutters are filled with ice and snow. I fulfilled my end of our verbal agreement; he did not. Almost a year now....and the job is not finished. And he still won't respond to my emails. Although he says to call or email him any time he does not respond. There is no communicating with him. Very frustrating to work with and does not honor his word.
