Review content:
Dun-Rite installed our pool and spa in 2013. It was part of total addition of Lanai and expansion of our home. Initially they were very hard workers and Rich, the owner, was very friendly. It was after the installation was complete that everything changed. The first problem was they installed an Aqualink system to operate the pool and spa. We were never shown how to operate it. We self taught for a while until we started having problems with the spa shutting off by itself and not maintaining temperature. There was also a problem with the filter having a significant amount of green slime and had to be replaced because it couldn t be cleaned. (According to everyone we talked to these filters are supposed to last upwards of a year.) This filter was allegedly new when installed by Dun-Rite. So with all these problems we decided to call Dun-Rite to ask if they could come and show us how to operate the system and help us figure out the problem with the spa, and discuss the filter. Rich, the owner, shows up and is immediately very rude and argumentative. Accusing our pool service of not doing their job correctly and ruining the filter. In the same breath saying we should have hired Dun-Rite s pool service, which they don t have. They suggest another company on the island that doesn t return phone calls so I had to hire a pool company suggested by my contractor for the Lanai. Rich was very adamant that we should have hired his pool service. Rich also didn t know much at all about the Aqualink and said he could send someone over who knew more about it if a problem actually existed which I kept trying to tell him the spa kept shutting off and would not maintain temperature. I also showed him where I had to put a piece of cardboard under the filter to stop vibration. He said the filter and everything looked pristine and there was nothing wrong with it. He didn t want to hear it and left. Said if we had a problem give him a call. So long story short.. DO NOT HIRE DUN-RITE. Once they are done with your pool they are done with you!
