Our heating is not working. After waiting for one day, the technician (Scott) came and spent 10 to 15 minutes to find the high temperature switch is bad. He could not find the right part in his truck and went out to get the part. Then he spent another 2 minutes to put it on (2 screws). His charge is $79 (first hour labor) plus $79 (2nd hour labor) and $40 (trip fee to get parts), so the total is $198. He gave us $4 discount, and final bill is $194. For the first $79 labor fee and $40 trip fee to get parts, we think that is reasonable. But for the 2nd hour charge of $79, that is not very rational in our eyes. The total time he stayed in our house is less than 20 minutes and should not charge the 2nd $79. We called their front desk and he mentioned that they should not charge any extra if it is an easy job and can be done within the first hour. So it is kind of expensive to spend about $200 to replace that small inexpensive part. We will not use them for our rental properties and will be hesitate to recommend them to other friends and clients.
