I have been a member of CMS for 8 years going on 9. Before I started I was worried about dealing with big egos and guys trying to prove a point. I was pleasantly surprised on my first day. Everyone was very welcoming and down to earth. There was a huge sense of belonging that came over me. These guys weren’t just teammates, they were a big family. From Toney all the way down to me (The new guy). I am happy to say that it is still like this today. If I skip the gym for a couple of days I have people calling me ""Where have you been?"", ""Are you Ok?"" We really care about each other and each other’s well being. We train hard but we train smart. Taking care of your sparring partner is just as important as taking care of yourself. You need these guys, your family, to keep you strong and motivated and as long as they can depend on you, they will give you their all. \r Looking back on when I first started I realize I wasn’t half the man I am today. My CMS Family has made me the person I am today. Content with who I am as a person with strong moral values. These values are taught to the kids at a very young age and will be carried through their entire lives. When I saw this I had to get my son in here. My son has been going to this gym since he was a little monster in diapers. He would run and tumble on the mats instinctively. He would pick up the heavy medicine ball and try to imitate my workouts. He is now 8 years old and is a great kid. I am looking forward to seeing him grow in this sport. Believe me when I say he is a natural. But he is also humble. One of the many traits taught by Toney and followed by the rest. Emory, James and Jaybo also deserve honorable mention as they are also a huge part of mine and my sons growth. They are great with the kids and my son loves sensei James. \r Over all this is a great place to grow and sustain the healthy lifestyle you deserve. If you are an adult looking to get in shape and surround yourself with positive vibes and people...this is the place. If you have a child you would like to teach the value of dedication, self discipline and a healthy lifestyle...this is for you. \r \r Not enough can be said about how great this place is. This is just one of the many stories created at this gym. The tip of the ice berg so to speak. So come on in and meet your new family. We are waiting. :)\r
