Do NOT use Advanced Electronics to repair or diagnose your tv! They are dishonest and overpriced! We had white dots appear on our screen and Samsung said that they would pay for parts, we would only be responsible for labor. They connected us to Advanced Electronics, who called us and scheduled to send a tech to diagnose the issue. We asked how much it would cost, & they said they wouldn't have a price unit after someone looked at it. So we waited around all day and after he finally arrived he took a picture of the screen, unhooked the cables, turned the TV around, & after being here about 3 minutes he said it would be at least $270 for repairs in addition to the $75 service fee to come out & make the diagnosis. (So over $340 to fix) we said no thank you, so he said he needed the $75 service fee payment before he left. We hadn't been told there was a fee but he argued with us & said he was standing there when she told us & the office ALWAYS informs customers that $75 is due to the techs upon arrival... no sir. After trying to resolve the issue & him argiing with us, we just wrote a check & he left, with the TV still out, unhooked from the cables, & unplugged. I called the office to complain & the woman says she doesn't always ( & didn't in this case) say there is a fee for coming out cuz its usually covered under warranty. Ours WASN'T. Too bad!! We called Mike's electronics in Leroy & they said we can bring it in & the cost for repairs and service is $115. Total. Too bad we were robbed of $75, now we can't afford to get it fixed...SORRY ethics!!
