Review content:
My normal stylist is on maternity leave so I decided to give Hairzoo a try. I brought my 8 year old son in to get his haircut to the Webster location. The first thing i noticed when i walked in was big clumps of hair all over the waiting room floor, but it was busy so I gave it a pass. We waited about 20 minutes which was fine because we did not have an appointment. After we were called back and he sat in the chair, I became nervous. The way she held her clippers and dealt with my son, it was pretty obvious she was new to cutting hair. Throughout my sons haircut the stylist kept having to walk away from us to answer what sounded to be an intercom system because it was different from a regular ring. Each time she got off the phone she seemed more and more frazzled. I asked her if she was okay and she's said, "yes, Im sorry that was my boss calling down from upstairs." Which personally I thought was odd. There was also a dark haired older woman who kept going up to girls who were working, and scolding them in front of customers. She seemed miserable and was helicoptering everyone in the salon. I found this very classless and unprofessional. When I asked the girl cutting my sons hair who she was, she looked embarrassed and said it was the owner. The only reason why I was able to observe all of this, is because my sons haircut took 45 minutes and was terrible. Not only was I extremely disappointed in my sons haircut, I found it disturbing how the employees seemed to be treated. No wonder why the girls in there are young and obviously inexperienced, because no decent stylist with any experience would ever work in such a negative chop shop. I could not wait to get out of there. I will never be back and I will tell EVERYONE I know to avoid that place like the plague.
