Review content:
The first two times we ordered from here the food was sublime. The rice was delicious--buttery and flavorful, so amazing! Our standard order at every Indian restaurant is vegetable samosa, palak paneer, daal makhani, aloo chole, chicken tikka masala, and plain naan. (Yes, we have lots of leftovers!) With our third order placed February 17, we were so disappointed that I have to question whether they got a new chef! The rice pudding was so thick and sour, it was absolutely inedible. The daal was overly spiced with anise or some licorice flavor. The chicken was too sweet, the palak too salty. The rice, samosa, naan, aloo chole, and gulab jamun were fine, but not stellar. It was truly disappointing, especially when compared against the delicious subtlety and complex flavors of our previous orders. Overall, the odd flavors of the dishes in this order was so off-putting for us that we'll probably revert to India Bistro for a while. Before this experience, we would have rated it five stars.
