Review content:
We have been to Lakeview Lodge over 50 times now, John and Maria have became like part of our family. Round trip from Ames, IA is nearly 1,300 miles, so there is a special connection which transcends the fishing part of the trip. Many of years ago it was just the 2 of us making the trip to Lakeview Lodge, now we have children that are 5, 4, and 1. Our 5 and 4 year old talk about going fishing to Devils Lake and staying with John and Maria. Our 5 year old celebrated his 3rd birthday while on an ice fishing trip in January with John and Maria. Experiences like this will always stick in his mind, along with all of our other adventures in making the many trips to Devils Lake. The fishing is awesome and the hospitality that John and Maria show to their clients is very genuine. This sets them apart from other resorts, where you just check in and check out. We could have tough fishing on a hard water trip and still the trip would be special because of John and Maria.
