Review content:
We just finished a staircase with Tim Ortmann and his lead carpenter Carl. Our project was a very large rehab project in the City of St. Louis. I have had rental property for the past 15 years and have been rehabbing property for the past several years. I had never had the need to have a staircase installed so this was a first for us and we needed some guidance. I was referred to Ortmann stair Co through another contractor. I did my due diligence and had found some negative reviews. Upon questioning Mr. Ortmann about the reviews he was able to explain the reviews and at our request provide some references. Each reference we spoke to gave positive information so we proceeded with the contract. Mr. Ortmann was able to come up with a great design. I will say it took 3 tries to come up with a design which I was anticipating and prepared for. In my many years of experience I have yet to have a large project that goes smoothly. I felt that Mr. Ortmann gave us the dedication and all the time we needed to answer questions so we were comfortable with the design. I was even more impressed that they were able to start the project immediately and finish within a week even with all the changes. I would definitely recommend them and would also be willing to act as a reference as well. Good luck with your projects.
