Had 5 estimates for my cross country move, and these guys were the low bidder... now I know why (and, shame on me, I was warned by other vanlines of this ploy): their estimator (Rufus) grossly underestimated the weight. Of course, that's what got them the contract. Then, on packing day, while your belongings are boxed up, they do this ploy saying you've gone over the weight estimate and you have to pay more. If you use these guys, DO NOT fall for this ploy. Best bet, use someone else. That said, the packers were superb. The driver was professional. Bekins as a company is great. The estimator? inept. The owner? unscrupulous. Use Bekins, but go to another franchise business... or you, too, could be a victim of this scam.
