Review content:
My husband and I lived at Legends at River Oaks for two years, during which time we had repeated mold problems. The maintenance staff would come paint over the mold rather than properly removing it. Within a couple months, the mold would grow back. This happened over and over. Clearly, the mold was growing from WITHIN the walls. They should have gone through the proper precautions to tear down the drywall and strip the wall to the posts. Instead, they took the easy way out, causing us to continue to breath in the toxic, black mold. Also, when we moved out of the apartment, we left if spotless--cleaner than when we moved in. Yet, they slapped a $500+ fee on us, charging us for things like a broken drawer in the fridge (that was like that when we moved in) and bent blind slats (that were also like that when we moved in). Every time our contract was up for renewal, they significantly raised our rent rate. Not a great way to retain your good tenants who always pay on time. In general, this apartment complex is very pretty--but it's managed very poorly and is way over-priced for what you get.
