The experience at Salon 17 is great from the glass of wine when you walk in, to the scalp massage and the hot towel after the massaging shampoo. Jennifer has been cutting my hair for about 5 years now and I would never even consider letting anyone else touch it. She's an awesome stylist who listens to what her clients want and knows how to make their hair look great. The products the salon uses are awesome. I love Phyto and the new Michael Murphy. Yes, the products are more expensive than your bottle of pantene from the grocery store, but they last for months and work so much better. You get what you pay for, and you can't expect a $10 bottle of shampoo to give you the results of real professional products. So if you want to spend as little money as possible on your hair then go to great clips. If you actually care about the health and beauty of your scalp and hair then go to Salon 17. Darcy is also great for waxing. The wax that she uses doesn't stick to the skin so it is less painful than other waxes and especially those awful strips that turn you purple. (Darcy has never cut my hair so I can't comment on that) Overall, if you want to have a great salon experience then Salon 17 is your place!! Pros: Wine!! very knowledgeable, friendly, caring Cons: I have to leave
