I live in Oak Harbor and my car developed a problem with a coil (2nd time in 4 months). This is covered under the warranty, but I had to take the car to the dealership in Mount Vernon. The service manager refused to consider giving me a loaner vehicle. He told me to bring my car in at 7:30 am and maybe they would be able to fix it quickly. I told him that I had to be to work at 9 in OH and I really doubted he could do the diagnostics and fix the car in 1/2 hour, so how was I supposed to get to work on time? He just told me I could wait, they would only give me a loaner if they determined that the fix would take more than 24 hours. This may be ok if you live in Mt. Vernon/Burlington where they have a courtesy shuttle, but when you live 30 miles away and don't have a choice but to take your car to the dealership, it doesn't make sense. I supposed I could have taken the day off work, but then again Hyundaii does want me to pay for the car, so that doesn't work (no work = no pay = can't make car payment). and this was all for a MANUFACTURER problem! I also mentioned that the TPMS light had come on. They left a note that my left rear tire had a nail in it. They didn't fix it and when I picked up the car, my first stop was to put air in the tire. The next day I took the car to Les Schwab for the tire repair. It turned out it wasn't a nail, but that the steel tread was showing through and the tires couldn't be repaired but needed to be replaced as they were unsafe to drive on. Really unhappy!
