Review content:
The dreaded Fire Marshall came this past week (mid-late June) and imposed some new rules on Father's Office. If you have not been in a while, or this is your first time, then you'll want to know about these new rules.
First, there is now a line outside that can cause significant delays. This is because only a small amount of people allowed inside (around 40). The line forms about 20 minutes after the opening. 3 of us showed up around 7:45, and we didn't get in until 8:30. We watched as people nursed their beers and wines, and people were only let in as others left. When we left around 10:45, we saw some people who were in the line at 8:30 were still waiting.
Second, when you get in, there are plenty of seats and the bar tenders are much less busy than before. In fact, the bar stools on the sides of the restaurant (once coveted positions) are empty because the fire marshall will not allow enough people inside to completely fill all the tables and stools. We also noticed a chill in the air - since there aren't a ton of people inside, you can actually feel the air conditioners. Weird.
Third, the burgers and the brew are still amazing. I drove 2.5 hours, waited in line for 45 minutes, and don't have any regrets.
