In a word: dreadful. But for more details, keep reading.\r

I brought a white lab coat to this establishment to have the coat cleaned, two buttons fixed, and a hole in one of the pockets mended. I had been going to Downtown Cleaner for about a year and a half not because I was blown away by the quality, service or pricing but because of the proximity to my apartment in Chicago. The staff was never particularly pleasant or even appreciative of my business but I shrugged it off.\r
\r
I returned over 5 days later to get the coat only to find that the coat was not clean at all with notable rings on the wrist cuffs and the on the collar. Stains from ink were also on the coat. When I asked why the coat was not cleaned, I was brusquely told that ""we don't use bleach."" As anyone with a grain of common sense or working knowledge of modern washing machine knows, setting the coat on a hot wash cycle alone would have removed most of the stains but apparently this was something the owners and staff of this cleaner never learned. I was disappointed and annoyed but I took the coat home. The staff person with whom I intereacted offered to re-do the coat but I was already fed up. Besides, I thought, at least the buttons were back on and the hole was mended. \r
\r
The very next day, one of the two buttons that had allegedly been mended fell off. I was irate. I called the cleaners and demanded an explanation and a refund. I was told no refund would be forthcoming but they would try to fix the coat again. Fool me once shame of you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never go back to this place again. There are other places maybe with less convenient hours and perhaps at a greater distance but at least they will do the job they say will do. This is a terrible dry cleaner with terrible staff. Avoid at all costs.
