ive been in my rentstabilized apartment for 14 years….not sure exactly when dermot took over from other landlords but sadly they are an improvement over what we use to have…any NON EMERGENCY repairs never happen or take months or years…ive been trying to get a bathtub drain snaked (unclogged) for one month…..there was also a major repair to kitchen floor which i had complained about for 2yrs and i finally submitted request to DHCR to fix it and dermot finally came in and did a coverup job rather then fix the problem at its cause (to save money of course) so needless to say the problem is back….other then getting repairs done in a timely manner i havent had much problem with them….and this would be fixed if they reduce the # of apartments the super is in charge of (which i believe is an entire block of 5 story buildings)….anyway i would avoid renting from them if you have a choice….maybe if you move into one of their new buildings where you pay market rent they are better too you?
