As the saying goes,"" Word of Mouth goes a long way"". Alternative Transmissions is a family run Business with a heart. The owner is fair with his pricing and is the "" Best "" Transmission Builder in the Central Florida area. He and his family are familiar with anything that is driven on the road today and from years past. Whether, you are in need of regular maintenance to performance Alternative Transmissions is the place to be. I have a Chevy C2500 and I wanted to have the engine resealed and the Transmission rebuilt with a shift kit. ""Jack"", the owner put together the transmission and it shifts hard like I asked him to make it shift. Bill, his brother is the Engine Guru and he resealed the engine, put a cam and timing chain, high volume oil pump. Bill is also the exhaust guy as well and is teaching Alex, an employee the welding trade. Harry is ""The Foreman"", and is a master of getting anything apart and put back together. His knowledge of vehicles is very vast and so when it comes to diagnostics he is quick on his feet. Chris, the owners son, he is involved with most everything and complements Alternative Transmissions ability to be proficient. Jack,Harry,and Chris all rebuild the drivetrains when needed and Bill is usually handling the write up of work orders and fills in helping from engine work, to exhaust, to rear end work and interior trim. \r
