I was panicked and hopeless when I first contacted Chang and Carlin. I had gotten into trouble with credit cards, student loans, and medical bills. Even though I have a decent job, I just couldn't stay ahead of creditors. Meeting with John Carlin was like taking an anti-anxiety pill. He couldn't have been friendlier, more understanding, or more straightforward. I was horrified and embarrassed by the situation I'd gotten into. He was focused only on assessing my situation and helping me to move on. He looked at my information, went over all of my options with me, and gave me time to come to a decision, while remaining amazingly available via phone and email to answer any of my questions, no matter how stupid I thought they were. He always got back to me promptly. I don't think I ever waited more than a few hours, even in the evenings, to hear back from him. When I ultimately was able to move into a payment plan situation on my own that allowed me to avoid filing a bankruptcy, he continued to assure me that if I had any questions as I proceeded, I could feel free to contact him again. I can honestly say my quality of life has improved since I met with John Carlin. His ability to help me understand my situation and my options has given me back a sense of control and has allowed me to feel like I have a plan to get back on track. I can't recommend this firm enough. Everyone I have interacted with over the last 6 weeks has been helpful, friendly, reassuring, and professional.
