Review content:
I would warn anyone away from building a home with this business. I was warned by another very unhappy customer who had their home built by Future Homes in 2007. They listed numerous construction defects, poor communication, overpriced materials, shoddy workmanship. I chose to build my home, now with regret, with them. They completed my home, and the ""punch"" list was unbelievably long. I actually had to threaten a lawsuit to get things completed that Brent all of a sudden became ""unavailable"" for, and argued with me about. They did not paint my walls, paint my trim, stain my railings, and the tiles done on the bathroom floors were coming up less than two months after construction completion. My AC went out in 2012, and the tech that serviced it said he was surprised this type of unit was on an 1800 sq ft home, since the type Future Homes put in was used in MOBILE HOMES! Talk about cheap! My well failed in 2010, because Future Homes did not encase the well, and it collapsed. Another $6,000 spent. They did not finish out the concrete slab under the house, because Brent said it would be an additional $20,000 to do it (Apparently he thought he could start his kids college savings plan off of his ridiculous pricing), and he only brought this up AFTER the contract was signed, and I was given the impression that for $239,000, I could get a full slab. Another $4,500 for me to do that three years after the house was built. Painting my walls and trim (which was BS, because I picked out the paint color with one of Brent's employees. I found out it was TINTED PRIMER when I had a painter come in about two years later to paint a bedroom-talk about being really PO'd!) cost me another $3,000. Now that I have thrown in an additional $25,000 for contractual obligations Brent did not honor, shoddy work, and super cheap construction materials, I like my home. \r \r DO NOT USE THEM! They will rip you off royally. Go with a reputable builder that has integrity, cost measures and quality in their business model, because Future Homes does not.
