Businiess name:  Hilltop House Retirement Home

Review content:
I lived at Hilltop house from 4/16/2012 - 4/30/2013. I signed a 12 month lease for a certain amount of rent in 4/2012 and 2 weeks after moving in I was told by the administrator who had signed the lease that I would have to pay $47 more per mo. in rent starting in the 2nd month of the lease not at the end of the 12 month term of the lease. I had to contact the inspector general for HUD to get the administrator and her staff to adhere to the lease. They arrogantly insisted that they could ignore the lease, and claimed that they had done this for the past 14 years. I argued with them for 6 weeks before I got HUD officials to stop them from raising my rent until the end of the 12 month term of the lease. The administration of this place is simply not honest. Their attempt to con me out of more money for rent was conscious and deliberate not a misunderstanding. I don't know what other gambits they try to pull on the other elderly and disabled tenants but they are not honest and I got out of there before they tried to scam me again.
