Short story: These guys saved me $1,800.\r \r Longer version: These guys are great. I specifically dealt with Tom - who I think is the owner/primary repairman. The shop was recommended to me by East Hennepin Auto (another gem). I had been the victim of a hit-and-run, side-swiped by a flat bed truck, and my 2002 Corolla had two smashed up passenger side doors and a big gash that ran the length of the rear quarter panel on the passenger side. The big shop (ABRA) that my insurance company sent me to estimated $4,200 to fix it, which meant it was ""totalled"" and since it was totalled they actually wouldn't even fix it, per company policy. Other shops, even local ones that reviewers said had better pricing all came back with similar estimates.\r \r Tom offered to weld the rear panel back together, rather than replace it, in order to save money (most shops refused to even attempt this). The car also needed two new doors, and per my request he agreed to not paint them (after I insisted that I didn't care), to further bring down the cost. When I picked my car up I was shocked. The weld was flawless and completely undetectable. And, he managed to find me two used doors that were the same color as my car. So my car looked the same as it did before the accident -- and the final bill was only $2,400. So, he saved me $1,800!!!\r \r On top of that he seems like a nice, honest, decent guy who, though very modest, cares about and takes pride in the quality of his work. They did a great job at an amazing price. I know it's tough for small shops like his to stay in business these days, so, word of mouth is very important to their livelihood. If you need body work, I highly recommend Central Hennepin Auto Body - and tell your friends! They did such a good job and helped me out so much I'm just trying to do what I can to help them in return.\r \r Thanks, \r \r Joe\r St. Paul, MN
