I've patronized many eyeglasses stores. Most had outrages prices that I couldn't afford... but then while walking on Amsterdam avenue @93rd St., I came across this new business, Perfect Eyes Optique. And lo and below, there they were in the window... THE perfect pair of eyeglasses. The manager, Inessa, was both pleasant and knowledgeable, yet not pushy. She explained that the frame I wanted was not appropriate for my strong prescription. Then she pulled out a frame that I liked even more and explained that I could get ""high index"" lenses which were very thin, despite my prescription. They never told me this at Lenscrafters. I'll be going here from now on.
