Review content:
I called and made an appointment. When asked the reason for my appointment, I told them it was because I had pain and sensitivity in a molar and I wanted to get it checked. \r
\r
A tech took x-rays of my teeth, and it was painful and uncomfortable and gagging. She seemed unempathetic. \r
\r
After the X-rays, Dr. S entered. I introduced myself and told him about the pain. He looked at the x-rays, inspected my mouth for awhile, and then this was the first thing that came out of his mouth: ""You need a cleaning."" I replied that I'd had a cleaning three months earlier with my dentist from my home state. ""No, it's been longer than three months,"" he says, ""you definitely need a cleaning."" Thus, in our first interaction, he has dubbed me a liar. He continues: ""Did you have braces? I notice your bottom row is getting a little out of alignment, We can fix that up for you pretty quick. We can whiten too. Fix that coffee-stain color problem. Looks like you need a crown right here. Oh and you need a cleaning."" and so on and so on. Nowhere in his litany did he mention the problem that I came to his office for, which was odd, because that's what I came here for. \r
\r
Patiently, I ask him about the pain, and he says that the filling in that molar needed to be replaced. Dr. S leaves and I begin thinking about when i could potentially set up an appointment to have this work done....... when suddenly, without warning and without clarification, the assistant throws a bib around my neck and begins prepping her instruments. ""What are you doing?"" I ask. ""A cleaning"" she replies. ""Whoa, whoa..."" i say, ""I didn't agree to that. I'm not asking for it. I don't want it. I'd like to leave."" So she removes the bib and I get out of the chair and leave and never look back!\r
